1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Transcript Guru (transcriptguru.io), operated by Transcript Guru ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Transcript Guru is a web-based platform that extracts, translates, and processes transcripts from YouTube videos. The Service includes transcript extraction, AI-powered summaries, educational content generation, chat, and related features.
The Service relies on publicly available YouTube caption data and third-party APIs. We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or completeness of any transcript.
3. Accounts
3.1 Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You must provide a valid email address and verify it before accessing paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
3.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Plans and Credits
4.1 Free Plan
Free accounts receive 20 credits per month. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Free plan features are limited as described on our Pricing page.
4.2 Paid Plans
Paid plans (Basic, Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Plans include a set number of credits and additional features as described on our Pricing page.
4.3 Credits
Credits are consumed when you extract transcripts, generate AI content, or use other credit-based features. Each operation's credit cost is displayed before you confirm. Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
4.4 Credit Top-Ups
Paid plan users may purchase additional credits at plan-specific rates. Top-up credits do not expire while your paid plan is active.
5. Payments and Billing
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Prices are listed in USD, GBP, and EUR. You can manage your subscription or cancel at any time via the Billing page in your dashboard.

6. Refunds
Our refund policy is detailed on our Refund Policy page. By using the Service, you agree to the terms of our refund policy.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Our Content
The Service, its design, features, and code are owned by Transcript Guru and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service.
7.2 Your Content
Transcripts extracted through the Service are derived from publicly available YouTube data. You are responsible for ensuring your use of extracted transcripts complies with YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable copyright laws.
7.3 AI-Generated Content
Summaries, flashcards, mind maps, chat responses, and other AI-generated content are provided as-is. We do not guarantee their accuracy, and you should verify AI-generated content before relying on it.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in account suspension or termination.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TRANSCRIPTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRANSCRIPT GURU SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Transcript Guru operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
